Since the first appearance of the iPod, it has been constantly evolving and getting more and more popular. This is why the number of iPod users who want to port their favorite movies to their iPod - so that they can enjoy them anywhere - keeps growing. DVD to iPod Ripper Plus is intended to provide a fast and easy way to achieve this for all iPod users.
This software program offers an attractive user interface that includes an area where you can play the movies you have added for conversion, and thus have an idea of how they will look on your device. You are allowed to add entire DVD folders or individual IFO and/or VOB files for conversion, and select the output folder where you want your iPod-compatible files to be stored. In addition, you can select subtitle and audio streams for each movie, as well as the resizing method ("Keep aspect ratio", "Medium", "Pan Scan", "Stretch to Fit", and "Custom").
But there are still many more features in this program: through the "Settings" menu, you can access the General Settings window and the Output Settings window, where you can choose the output format (since this tool allows you to convert your movies not only into an iPod-compatible format, but also to some other popular formats, like AVI, VCD, SVCD and custom MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 formats). Whatever format you choose, you can still personalize its output by setting the native parameters manually, such as the audio and video bit rates, the motion search method, the resolution, split mode, etc. You also have the chance to set some cropping parameters, test the audio normalization, and even set the ripping process priority, among other things.
The ripping process may take a while, depending on the length of your original movie or video, but the results are always satisfactory. The trial version of the program, however, embeds a "trial version" watermark on the resulting video(s). |
